Notice the drop of nectar at the end of its beak. It’s as precious as a photograph of a precious hummingbird.
This is one of my favorite shots because it’s so beautifully balanced.
Snap your fingers twice and a hummingbird has flapped its wings 90 times! You can see the actual wing beats in this image.
To me this photo reflects pristine presence.
A rare shot of a hummingbird ‘preening’. Preening is how birds groom themselves.
This bird is ending its flight and hasn’t even landed yet! Notice its claws are still open.
I feel as though I was given permission to photograph a moment in the eyes of God.
They are aware of your presence and it is a mutual moment of connection when you capture photographs such as this.
While walking down the path to my front door I noticed hummingbirds at the feeder. Swiftly grabbing my camera it took only ten minutes to capture these stunning photos. Let this be a gentle reminder to take the time to let nature remind you that we are a part of something much greater.
